Kid Friendly Ham & Pea Pasta

1 package bowtie pasta (Farfalle)
1 1/2 c. frozen peas
1 TBSP unsalted butter
1/4 c. diced dried onion
1 lb ham steak cut into 1/2 inch – 1 inch slices
1 c. Parmesan
1/2 tsp garlic powder
1/4 tsp cayenne
Juice of 1 lemon
1/2 c. heavy whipping cream

Cook pasta following directions on the package. When there are a few more minutes until the pasta is done, add peas to the boiling water. When done, drain in a colander. While the pasta is cooking, in a medium sized frying pan, melt butter. Then add onions and saute for about 3-4 minutes. Add ham slices. Continue to cook over medium heat, then add cheese, garlic powder, cayenne, lemon juice, and 1/4 c. of whipping cream. Reduce heat to low, while pasta continues to cook. Once pasta is done and has been drained, add back to large pot. Stir in cheese and ham sauce, along with 1/4 c. of whipping cream. Mix well and serve! 🙂

The kids loved this meal! There wasn’t a single thing in it that they didn’t like 🙂 SUCCESS!
