Broccoli Chicken with Hoisin Sauce

hoisin-garlicWe recently moved about 30 minutes from our old house. While the area we moved into has been AMAZING, the only downside is that we now have to drive our son to soccer 2-3 times per week and it’s about 30-45 minutes each way depending on traffic. I don’t mind the drive but it has definitely made dinner a little harder than before. Here is a quick and easy recipe that can be made in about 30 minutes though!

1 bottle of Soy Vay Hoisin Sauce
2 c. white rice
1 c. broccoli florets
1 c. sliced carrots
1 lb chicken breast, cut into 1 inch cubes

In a rice cooker, place 2 c. rice and 3 c. water and cook until done. While the rice is cooking, add 1/4 c. hoisin sauce to frying pan, warm over medium heat. Add chicken and cook until no longer pink. Once chicken is done, add broccoli and carrots to pan along with another 1/4 c. hoisin sauce. Cover and cook over medium heat until vegetables are tender. Once done, place rice on a plate and top with chicken and veggie mixture. Pour more hoisin sauce on top if you’d like, then top with sesame seeds. Quick and easy!

I love this sauce because it’s cheap, has a great flavor, and contains no preservatives or additives!
