Fall is in the Air (What Should You Be Eating)

FallFall is in the air and I couldn’t be MORE excited. I absolutely love Fall. It means I get to wear hoodies and slippers at night, cook some of my favorite comfort foods, and it also means I get some time to relax a little more than we do during the summer. But now that it’s Fall, and some of your favorite foods, which foods should you eat to help your body naturally detox? A full list can be found in the Elite Health Coaching Seasonal Detox Guide, but here is a short list as well:

  • Brussel Spourts – may protect against cancer, rich in Vitamin A & C, high in potassium, folate and iron, high in fiber
  • Cabbage – activates detoxifying enzymes in the liver, colon cancer fighting properties, full of Vitamin C
  • Apples – lowers bad cholesterol (LDL), high in fiber, detoxes liver, improves immune system
  • Onion – improves immune system, regulates blood sugar, anti-inflammatory
  • Pumpkin – aids in weight loss, heart healthy, lower cancer risk, rich in potassium improves immune system
  • Squash – rich in antioxidants and Vitamin A & C, anti-inflammatory, heart healthy
