Classic Beef Stroganoff – REPOST

One of these days I’ll remember to take a picture of this quick and easy family-friendly meal! But it is a repost – Classic Beef Stroganoff. With this recipe, I don’t need to change anything to get the kiddos to like it. I typically try to serve this with a bright vegetable like zucchini, carrots, or a side salad to brighten up the meal!

1 lb stew beef
1 TBSP canola oil
Salt & pepper, to taste
3 TBSP butter
5 TBSP flour
3 c. milk
1 TBSP Worcestershire
1/2 onion, chopped
1 – 4oz can mushrooms
1 bag of egg noodles
Sour cream

Brown beef in oil with salt and pepper. Remove the beef from the pan once cooked. In the same pan, add butter. Once the butter has melted, add flour and stir into the butter. Slowly whisk milk into pan and turn to medium heat. Add Worcestershire sauce and cook for about 8 minutes. Once it begins to bubble, add the onions, mushrooms and beef into the sauce. Simmer for 20 minutes. While the sauce is simmering, cook noodles. When all done, place noodles on a plate, topped with sauce and sour cream.
