Product Review – Neutrogena Naturals

ThisOne.png.342x341_q85_cropOccasionally I get to try out products through a company called Influenster. It’s really great because I get to try products that I normally wouldn’t purchase, and often times I’m super excited about them and end up buying them again.

With  Influenster, you usually take a short quiz answering a few things here or there to see if the product is a good fit for you. This time I was able to give the Neutrogena Naturals Make Up Removing Cloths a try. I used make up removing cloths YEARS ago, but since then I typically use coconut oil to remove my mascara and eyeliner, then a facial cleanser to get rid of everything else, followed by astringent and lotion. Saving time on my nightly routine would be nice, so the cloths were definitely a nice change of pace. It was really nice not having to use water to rinse my face off. I was able to wipe my face clean, then I followed it with my regular astringent like I would with my normal routine. It really did help remove my makeup and it was also able to remove my double coating of mascara I sometimes wear. I typically don’t wear makeup regularly, unless I’m out and about, but I did really like not having to wash my face. There were a few times we got home late, but removing my makeup took no time at all. I definitely liked this product and would buy it again at the right price.

One thing that was pretty cool about this product, was that it was focused on a #WipeForWater movement. This Earth Month (well April), Neutrogena® Naturals is partnering with The Nature Conservancy to save water. Get involved and join #WipeForWater. Pledge to clean your face without using water, and instead exclusively clean with Neutrogena® Naturals Purifying Makeup Removing Cleansing Wipes. For each pledge, Neutrogena® Naturals will contribute $1 to The Nature Conservancy to support water conservation, up to $50,000.

Review Of Reese’s Peanut Butter Chocolate Spread

Reese's Influenster Review

Reese's Influenster ReviewI know that we are supposed to be all about eating healthy, but I had an opportunity to try the new Reese’s Peanut Butter Chocolate Spread, and let me tell you what! It was awesome! I’m not a HUGE peanut butter fan. I like it, but I don’t love it. My husband on the other hand loves peanut butter, so when I got this in the mail, he was pretty excited. I do have to mention that I did receive this product for free through Influenster, but I’m not being paid for my review in any way.

So when we opened it, I was expecting something along the lines of Nutella. Granted it’s peanut butter chocolate rather than hazelnut, but my mind tricked me into thinking it was Nutella. Honestly this stuff was better than Nutella. I liked the flavor a ton! We tried it on apples, bananas, graham crackers, and saltines. My favorite way to eat it was on the saltines and the apples. We’ve had a few friends come over since we received this jar and we have made them taste it as well because it was just that good! I will definitely be buying this a little more. I’m thinking of trying to make it into some sort of frosting on a chocolate cake… maybe for a birthday cake of some kind. I’m all about moderation, so this will be a staple in our cupboard for sure, and I’ll make sure to be eating it with some healthier options like apples as a quick mid-day snack.

What type of food would you want to try this with? Would you want it with sweets or healthier foods? What’s your favorite chocolate peanut butter mix? Let me know in the comments below! And I can’t wait to see what my next Influester box will hold.

Follow Friday – Daily Tip #102

FollowFridayI know I’ve been posting about gardening, weeding, yardwork, all of that fun stuff on Fridays lately, but I want to just post a little bit about a website I belong to.

It’s called Influenster. It’s free to join, and you get to review different products, take surveys, and try free products. This past week I received a box from Influenster called #TLCVoxBox. It contained a ton of fun items! And just a reminder, I received these products complimentary for testing purposes from Influenster.

My #TLCVoxBox contained:

  • Neosporin Neo to Go
  • A coupon for a free container of Breyers Gelato Indulgences
  • Ivory Bar Soap
  • AVON Anew Reversalist Express Wrinkle Smoother
  • Puffs To Go
  • And a Shell Fuel Rewards Network Card

Kind of fun to get these kinds of things in the mail without having to do anything but take a few surveys and offer a few reviews. I get these boxes a few time a year and they are always so much fun. I’ve tested insoles, mouthwash, bodywash, plus all the items I just received. Here’s a quick review on the items:

Influenster

  • Neosporin Neo To Go – I haven’t had to use it yet, but I did take it out of the packaging. I was a little confused because it’s a spray, so after opening the bottle incorrectly, I now know I can use it effectively when/if needed.
  • Breyers Gelato Indulgences – I’ll be picking this up on my next grocery trip. I love gelato!
  • Ivory Bar Soap – We mostly use liquid soap and body wash in our house, but Ivory will always remind me of my grandpa. Maybe I’ll put this in the spare bathroom when the hand soap runs out.
  • AVON Anew Reversalist Express Wrinkle Smoother – I don’t have a ton of wrinkles, but they are starting to creep in. I’ve used this product twice now and can see a difference. Although I’ve noticed when I use it by my eyes, the rest of my makeup is attracted to it. I feel like my mascara and eyeliner are all over the place.
  • Puffs To Go – This is a great size to throw in my car when needed. Plus they have lotion, which I like when my nose is constantly dripping thanks to my allergies.
  • Shell Fuel Rewards Network Card – I already have one of these, and I guess you can’t have 2 on the same account, which is weird to me. I asked them on their Facebook page though and they got back to me quickly. So I gave this 2nd card to my husband. It’s only $.03 off a gallon, but it will slowly…. slowly…. slowly… add up. 🙂
